The GRIT List

The GRIT List: It's Not a Sprint, It's a Season of Endurance

Ever feel like traditional racing just isn't your style? Maybe you're not the fastest on the start line, but you've got the determination to go the distance. If that sounds like you, then you need to know about The GRIT List.

Forget about chasing podiums in individual races. The GRIT List is a different kind of challenge, a true test of endurance and consistency. It's a cumulative ranking system designed for riders who embody the spirit of "grit."

What is The GRIT List?

Imagine a season-long journey, a series of six challenging "fondos" (long-distance cycling events). Instead of focusing on who crosses the finish line first in each event, we're tracking your cumulative finish time. That's right, we add up your times from all six fondos to determine your overall ranking.

Why "Grit"?

Because it's not just about speed. It's about showing up, pushing through, and completing the entire series. It's about battling fatigue, conquering challenging terrain, and staying committed to the finish line. It's about grit.

How Does it Work?

  • Six Fondos, One Goal: To earn your place on The GRIT List, you'll need to complete all six fondos in the series.

  • Cumulative Time: Your finish times from each event are added together, creating your total series time.

  • Ranking and Bib Numbers: Based on your cumulative time, you'll receive a special bib number at each event, reflecting your current ranking.

  • Series Awards: At the end of the season, the top finishers on The GRIT List will be recognized and awarded for their incredible endurance and dedication.

More Than Just a Race

The GRIT List is more than just a competition; it's a community. It's a celebration of perseverance and the joy of cycling. It's a chance to challenge yourself, push your limits, and discover what you're truly capable of.

Who is The GRIT List For?

  • Cyclists who love long-distance rides.

  • Those who value consistency and endurance.

  • Anyone who wants to challenge themselves beyond individual races.

  • Anyone who has grit.

Ready to Test Your Grit?

If you're ready to embrace the challenge and join a community of dedicated cyclists, then The GRIT List is for you. It's not a sprint; it's a race of attrition, a true test of your cycling spirit. So, gear up, get ready to ride, and show us your grit!
