Round 6 of the Fat Tire Revolution: crankin’ up the wattage at our brand new venue Watt Canyon. Centrally located with easy access off I90, this course is the real deal.  Bring your legs!  NOTE:  All vehicles must have a Discover Pass.

Registration:

We encourage pre-registration, but will have day of available starting at 8:00 am. You must be registered 30 minutes before the start of your race.

Start Times:

10:00 am – Cat 3 (1 lap)
11:00 am – Cat 2 (2 laps)
12:30 pm – Cat 1/Pro/Open (3 laps)
3:00 pm – Free Kids Race & Prize Give-away!

Course:  The course is a rough and tough 7.5 miles with 1600′ of climbing per lap.  The profile shows a fairly steady climb followed by a long downhill, kind of like Leavenworth, but there are a couple flat spots and a couple sharp pitches up to keep you honest.

Free onsite camping.  No fires.

Food:
Dakota Cafe -great food (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) and the owner rides
Fidelina’s Taqueria–great mexican food
Iron Horse Brewery Micropub –(they have menus for local restaurants so you can bring food inside and they are a FTR sponsor)
Ellensburg Pasta Company is pretty good
The Valley Cafe and Yellow Church Cafe are Excellent but pricey (by Eburg standards ~$16 per entree)

Directions:  Watt Canyon  West of Thorp: Take exit 93, turn left on Elk Heights Rd, Turn right on Thorp Prairie Rd, turn right on East Taneum Rd, turn left on Thorp Cemetery Rd, turn right on Watt Canyon Rd, drive until you see a bunch of people on bikes.  East of Thorp: take exit 101, turn left on Thorp Hwy, turn right on Thorp Cemetery Rd, turn left on Watt Canyon Rd, go until you can’t go no more, then race your bike.
